Carnival Rules

Games will be played on outdoor courts at Wyatt Park, 1 Percy Street, Auburn NSW

There is a minimum number of 5 games.

Each game will consist of 2 x 12 minute halves

There are no uniforms. Just wear comfortable clothing. Ball and umpires will be provided.

There is no player accident insurance for carnivals. Netball4all does have public liability insurance

  • All players must sign the Team Insurance Waiver Sheet, prior to taking the court. Failure to do so could result in the player or the team being disqualified
  • All players must have photographic ID with them, as they can be checked at any time
  • All players must be listed on the team form, have paid their registration and have signed the insurance waiver prior to playing
  • Up to 12 players may register in a team
  • Maximum of 3 representative senior players. This is to ensure that the competition is kept at a social level, although grades will be competitive.
  • Players must be 14 years and over to participate in the Senior competition
  • Junior players must be 12-15 years of age to participate in the Junior competition
  • Games will consist of 2 x 12 minute halves. 
  • Mixed teams must have a minimum of 1 male and a maximum of 3 males on the court. There can only be one (1) male in each third of the court from a positional perspective.eg Shooter (GS or GA) and Mid-Court (WA, C or WD) and Defence (GK or GD)
  • Abuse of umpires will not be tolerated. Offences of this nature could see a team lose points or be expelled from the competition
  • Canvas shoes are not permitted to play in, proper sports shoes must be worn. You may be asked to leave the court if you are wearing canvas shoes. This is entirely for your safety
  • Team captains to ensure that players are aware of all of the policies and procedures involved in participating in a Netball 4 All Social Competition
  • All players who take the court must be registered within that team prior to taking the court. Failure to do so, could result in the team or player being disqualified
  • Injury and blood policy will be adhered to as per above
  • No injury time will be played
  • No result is recorded for games that have not reached half time
  • In the event of a dispute the decision of Netball4All is final
  • If a team cannot field a minimum of five players (including 1 male in a mixed competition) within 1 minute of the start of the game, the game is then declared a forfeit. A match can still be played as a friendly after confirmation by a Netball4All Official. In the event of a forfeit the forfeiting team receives 0 points and the opposing team will receive 2 points and 15 goals
  • Score sheets must be completed and signed in full and returned to control at the end of each game by the winning team
  • Each team must supply their own scorer, over the age of 14 years. No dispute of the score will be considered if a scorer is not supplied by both teams
  • Points are as follows: Win - 2 points, Draw - 1 point, Loss - 0 points
  • A First Aid officer will be available at the courts. Taping will take last priority over actual injuries
  • There will be a fee if tape is not supplied for taping
  • Rules as per Netball Australia – “Rules of Netball 2016”
  • All players and umpires will abide by Netball4allCodes of Conduct
  • Team captains to ensure that players are aware of all of the policies and procedures involved in participating in a Netball 4 All Social Competition
  • A player may be disqualified if unreasonable or unsportsmanlike behaviour is shown.
  • The decision by a Netball4all official is final
